The true or false quiz is one of my favorite formats on Quizterra. In this article I will give my thoughts on:
Generally True/False is a type of quiz where a user has to agree or disagree on the fact or statement that you offer him. Most of the True/False quizzes that I’ve seen consist of facts, so the user has to determine if these facts are true or false.
Here are some examples of the titles you can use as templates:
And here is a ready example of such quiz. You can take it right on this page, then go down below and I’ll give a step-by-step guide on how did I create it in the quiz maker.
As you can see, this is a special type of quizzes, created especially for True/False questions. Questions are displayed on the flip cards. When user clicks the button, the card flips, and the user can see the commentary to the question. When questions end, user sees the personalized result page with a calculation of the correct answers.
Flip cards is an amazing mobile format. In the quiz builder, you have a lot of options to customize the design, you can even change “True” and “False” answers to something else. For example – “Truth” and “Lies” instead of “True” and “False”.
Also, you can put the same content into the Personality Quiz Builder.
I recommend you studying this type of quizzes aswell, there we have 8 types of different answers that you can use. To create a True/False quiz in the Personality Quiz Builder you can use:
This is how this looks. I’ve made a quiz with 3 questions to show you all three options.
So, if you like the idea of animated flip cards – use the True/False quiz maker. If you prefer the more “standard” appearance – choose the Personality quiz maker.
If you have a niche website or a blog, you have dozens of ways to include True/False quiz into your content. Let me share 3 main purposes that I make this kind of quizzes for.
If I make an article about “How to set up Google Analytics” or “How to record a video for Youtube” I can finish it with a great True/False quiz that will check how attentive were people while reading. If user gives a wrong answer to the quiz questions – in the commentary I can give the link to the part of article where this topic was explained – check the example below.
Quizzes are one of the most shareable types of content among all, so if you make a good one and promote it, you have a guaranteed boost in social signals (likes/shares/pins) and backlinks from other sites. So, since I gather email list, push notification audience, facebook/twitter/pinterest followers for each of my niche sites, from time to time I return them to the site with a cool quiz.
The best way here is to pick a trendy topic. This is what we are trying to do on Quizterra – check Google Trends and search for the topics of current interest.
Here are some examples:
One of the most successful quizzes of this year was about the FaceApp, where we asked users to guess the celebrity by his photo generated in the App. The topic was really trendy and even though we were a bit late, the quiz got crazy amount of shares and brought a lot of cheap traffic.
Try the same on your site!
Just as a Trivia, the main idea of True/False quiz is to check the users’ knowledge on a topic. If the user fails to give correct answers to all questions, you can offer him to read another article on your site to learn more or offer to buy a course. Quiz is a great marketing tool and a lot of companies use it as a landing page. The owner of a niche website or a blog can do the same, using a quiz as an engaging tool, revealing the lack of knowledge on the topic and then offering a solution.
Try to promote another article of your site by adding buttons or links to the result page of your quiz.
Now it’s time to create our quiz step-by-step. Click the button and let’s do the quiz together!

Remember, that should have .gif dimension.
So this is how I set up a question:
I wrote a question, then chose the “True” answer as correct and wrote the small explanation of the correct answer.
To make my quiz look truly awesome, I add images or GIFs to all questions and explanations.
For example, the first result will show to users that score 0 to 3 correct answers.
Fill title and description add image or GIF to each result.
Button and lead form are great marketing tools to bring traffic to a specific page of the site, sell a digital product or collect the audience.
